Cravings Solved by ELove Brownies

Soft + Chunky = A Mouthwatering Experience! :)

Bored. I need food. :D To satisfy my cravings on sweets, my Ate Nikkole brought a box of brownies which was surprisingly, bought from her colleague (Ms. Elana) at their office. I ate one during my coffee break right after my blogging, and I realized that it really tastes great. You can taste its bittersweet chocolate flavor on every bite. It has the same taste as what Brownies Unlimit*d offers. No exaggeration, but it was really that good, I swear!

I really want Ate Nikkole to buy another box of six and later on, I've discovered Ms. Elana's IG account. I think she always finds time to unwind and let herself do that brownie thing. Check out her Instagram account, @elovebrownies for more delightful treats!

Chewy Junior's Heavenly Cream Puffs!

Cream Puffs Made to Perfection.

From the heart of Singapore, Chewy Junior is truly a "one of a kind" creation, as it has a bit of "chewy" on the inside; plus factor is its sweet cream oozing out on every bite. They offer delectable varieties, from Cookies and Cream to Blueberry Cream Cheese! In reality, their cream puffs are quite bigger than to what we commonly see around.

@ Chewy Junior SM Megamall Branch :)

Chewy Junior has 3 sets: the Sweet (also called as Deluxe), Premium and the Minis. The Sweet is more of the flavors available at any branch; Premium is catered to the local taste, which is exclusively tailored by particular branches. Lastly, Minis is the new one, which is just a cuter version of the regular ones; honestly, it's too cute that you could not do anything but to stare at it. :)

Three years back, I remembered my mom first brought a box of cream puffs from the SM Mall of Asia branch, and it's quite addicting for me. Since there's a branch here at Greenbelt 3, Makati, Mom always grabs a box of three. For me, I enjoy it more when I feel its luscious cream on my lips, and that's totally a heavenly experience! Also great to have it chilled. It's a perfect thing that everyone would crave for! Even Mom enjoys eating Chewy Junior all the time.

Soft and Chewy, so Perfect to Munch on! :9

BonChon Chicken: "A Chicken Fried Twice"

Everything Korean: That's What I Like!

I've just heard stories about "BonChon" that their Fried Chicken tastes so good, but I don't know a single thing about that. I surfed around the web, and I got a tidbit: The America voted for that as the best fried chicken; is it really that good? Since I love Korean stuff, I had happy thoughts about their foodies, like their Bibimbap, Sundae, Bulgogi, Bungeoppang, and it's too many to mention those stuff, haha! :) Thinking that it's the greatest in the USA, I had a lot of expectations from them.  How about our verdict? Can it also be the best  here in the Philippines? Hmm..

Last Friday was the best night for my dad, celebrating his birthday up to sundown. My Ninong Den decided to eat out with us, so he planned to eat at BonChon Chicken. Actually, it was also our first time going there and we just wanna try it out for something fresh and new.

BonChon Chicken's in a fastfood chain setup!

It was not that spacious, but a little artsy
and pretty decent. Nice!

Framed art pieces placed around every corner...

BonChon's really a busy place 'til it's up.

Oh! That's a Bottomless Iced Tea!
Literally... :)

We ordered out three sets Soy-Garlic Chicken for
Php 185.00 eachas well as Fish & Chips which is
 Php 125.00 each.
The Soy-Garlic Chicken was good, as its name says it all. It has a flavorful taste on the outside and still, a flavorful taste on the outside. The meat tastes a little flat for me, and I think that they might be focusing more on the flavor of the chicken skin. Another wild guess might be is that the chicken was fried twice (yeah, literally),causes it to have a less meaty flavor. For that Korean Fried Chicken, it is a little "flop" for me.

For their Fish & Chips, its dip balances it all. With its savory tomato dip, makes it so tasty. I think that the fish meat is a Cream Dory one, as it has a softer and finer texture, unlike the stereotype ones at the groceries. Overall, it has a light taste as well, but since I love potatoes, it made that much better.

For my final verdict: their foodie was a little good, but it was pricy too. Gonna go there, maybe this coming weekend again hoping for a little bit of a change. Not bad for a Korean foodie jumpstart!

Annyeong!

  Tidbits!
  • "Bon Chon" means "Original Village" in Korean!
  • It actually originated from Busan, Korea at some time around 2002.
  • Philippines has the most number of BonChon Chicken branches (22 branches in total) compared to Korea which only has 10 branches around, and that's really true!

Hop in at BonChon Chicken then go try one!
